Dear Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator,
You may be aware that as part of the County Council's emerging locality agenda and working with the Police's Safer Neighbourhood Teams we manage 6 Locality Panels in Rugby and these Panels have replaced the Electoral Divisional Panels.
Part of the function of the Panels is to respond to community concerns in the locality and prioritise issues to address (eg. anti-social behaviour, environmental concerns, traffic issues etc). The Panels are led by the local WCC Councillor for the area and comprise all elected members (the County Council, Borough Council and parish councils) from the locality. In addition, representatives from the Police's Safer Neighbourhoods Team also attend the meetings to specifically address the issues that the Police can take forward as their local priorities. Other agency representatives attend the meetings depending on issues to be raised, for instance schools or health. The meetings are organised and managed through the Rugby Area Team.
You are most welcome to attend the Locality Panel meetings for your area, and it would be very helpful for us to be aware of community concerns from your area in advance of the meeting.
Please contact us via telephone or email with a list of current community concerns (these do not have to be just NHW issues) in you area, or alternatively feel free to phone us if you wish to discuss anything.
