MESSAGE .................BW PW HW RW WK Extra vigilence required following discovery of car bomb in Central London at 1.42am on Friday 29 June
At 1.42am on Friday 29 June 2007 what appears to be an explosive device was discovered in a vehicle outside a central London nightclub. The device was contained in a saloon car and early indications are that it failed to detonate as intended.
It is unclear at this time what was the intended target.
Police are asking for increased vigilence within the community nationally and that you contact your local police concerning anything considered to be suspicious activity.
Such activity can extend beyond suspicious vehicles to any incident where concern is raised.
