MESSAGE .................NHW RU Attempted distraction burglary in St Ediths Close, Monks Kirby INC 542 of 30 October
We would like you to be aware that at 8.50pm last night, 30 October, a white male, in his 30's about 6 ft tall with a medium build and wearing an American combat style cap, called at the home of an elderly person in St Ediths Close, Monks Kirby stating that the water needed to be turned off.
The resident refused him entry and he made off.
Please remain on the alert, on the lookout for suspicious activity in your area and pleas report anything of concern to police. Please also remind elderly neighbours to be aware that distraction burglars are at work in the area and not to let anyone they do not know or are not expecting into their homes. Thankyou.
