Rugby police are keen to hear from anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area of Back Lane, Birdingbury between 7am and 4pm yesterday, 16 January.

An offender entered the rear garden of the house by climbing over a fence and then used a ladder he found in the garden to climb onto a garage roof.

The then forced open a bedroom window which activated the burglar alarm. This appears to have disturbed the offender who made off empty handed.

The burglar alarm was first reported to police at just before 12noon so the burglary may have occurred at around this time.

If you noticed anything suspicious in the area of Back Lane yesterday that you believe may be connected to this incident please contact Rugby police quoting incident number 356 of 16 January.
Please also remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons or activity around your own or neighbouring houses and please report anything of concern to police. Thankyou.
