MESSAGE .................NHW RU Theft of copper wire from Electrical Substation in Ryton on Dunsmore INC 9 of 3 July
Rugby police are keen to hear from anyone in the Ryton on Dunsmore area who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area of the electrical substation in the vicinity of Manor Farm Cottage, Ryton at just after midnight, this morning, 3 July.

Offenders entered the substation, turned the power off, removed the main fuses and stole a substantial amount of earthing tape nad copper wire before making off.

The removal of these items made the substation unsafe and Coventry Airport, major local businesses and 10,000 homes were left without power.
