MESSAGE .................NHW RU Distraction burglary at home of elderly person in Adkinson Avenue, Rugby INC 578 of 29 November

Rugby police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information relating ot a distraction burglary which occurred at the home of an elderly person in Adkinson Avenue, Rugby at around 7.30pm on Saturday night, 29 November.

At 7.30pm an offenders called at the home in Adkinson Avenue saying that there was something wrong with the drains and that he had to check the sink in the kitchen.

The offender unscrewed a bulb in the hallway of the house before he left the premises. The resident of the house then discovered that items had been stolen from upstairs.

The offenders is described as male, about 5ft 6in tall and in his 30's. He wore a dark jersey and bottoms.
