MESSAGE .................NHW RU Attempted burglaries at homes in Bennett Street & Sandy Lane, Rugby INC 74 of 30 April
We would like to make you aware of the following incidents which have occurred in your area over recent days.
At just after 4am yesterday morning, 29 April, two offenders jemmied open the garage door of a home in Bennett Street, Rugby. The offenders made off when they were disturbed by the resident of the home and it believed that they were attempting to steal a moped which was inside the garage.
The two offenders are described as being between 13 and 14 years of age and wearing dark clothing. One wore a baseball cap.
At just after 4.15am this morning, 30 April, offenders forced open the door of a garage at a home in Sandy Lane, Rugby and activated the intruder alarm. The offenders made off but again it is believed that they were attempting to steal an off road motorcycle which was in the garage.
Please remain alert, on the lookout out for suspicious persons, or activity around your own or neighbouring homes and please report anything of concern to police. If you house motorcycles in your garage please ensure that the garage is locked and secured and that the bike is secured inside. Thankyou.
