MESSAGE .................SW RU Beware of forged, new style £20 notes circulating across Warwickshire
Warwickshire police would like you to be very wary when accepting new style £20 notes from your customers
Over the last few days Nuneaton, Bedworth, Atherstone and Kenilworth have been flooded with forged notes which are described as very good quality copies.
Please check all £20 notes very carefully using a UV pen. You just need to run the pen over the Queens head on the note. A genuine note will have no reaction whereas a forgery will.
The serial numbers of some of the notes that have been recovered so far are as follows. Please check these numbers against suspect notes that you receive.

Please retain any forged notes that you receive as well as any CCTV footage you may have of the offenders. Please also make a note of the description of the offender, the registration number of any vehicle seen to be being used by the offender and the offenders direction of travel when leaving your premises. Please then report the incident to your local police immediately. Thankyou.
