MESSAGE .................NHW RU Vauxhall Astra stolen in robbery and burglary in Cedar Avenue, Ryton INC 651 of 17 December
Rugby police are keen to hear from anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in Cedar Avenue, Ryton on Dunsmore around the following times.
Sometime between 6pm on 16 and 5.40pm on 17 December offenders forced open a rear double glazed window at a home in Cedar Avenue and entered the house. Once inside they searched the premises before making off. It is not yet know what was stolen.
At 7.55am yesterday morning, 17 December the resident of another home in Cedar Avenue was getting out of his red 56 plate vauxhall Astra when a male offender demanded the keys and a scuffle started.
A second offender then produced a knife, the resident backed off and the car was stolen. One offender then ran to a dark vehicle waiting nearby and made off.
If you have information that you believe may be connected to either of these incidents please contact Rugby police quoting incident number 651 of 17 December. Please also remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious or unusual activity and please report anything of concern to police. Thankyou.
