MESSAGE .................NHW RU Burglary at home of elderly lady in Pytchley Road, Rugby INC 531 of 27 April
Rugby police would like to make you aware that at 5.15pm yesterday afternoon, the elderly resident of a home in Pytchley Road, Rugby was working in her garden when she disturbed a male at the side of her house.
The male, who is described as white, 5ft 6in tall, very slim and wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap asked if she had seen a black dog.
The ladt then went into her home and discovered that her handbag was open in her bedroom and that her purse had been stolen.
If you noticed anyone meeting this description in the area of Pytchley Road at around the time given, or if you have other information that you believe may be connected to this incident please contact Rugby police quoting incident number 531 of 27 April.
Please can we remind you to make sure that you keep outer doors to your home locked when they are not in use, including when you go into your gardens, as there has been a spate of opportunist burglaries across the county recently. Thankyou.
