MESSAGE .................FW RU Arson at St Maries Church, Rugby & theft of cash from St Peters Church, Dunchurch INC 252 of 5 October
Rugby police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information relating to the following incidents which occurred at Churches in Rugby yesterday, 5 October.
At just after 11.30am an offender used a candle to set fire to sheet music in the choir loft of St Maries Church on Dunchurch Road, Rugby. A further fire was then discovered in the adjacent Parish Hall.
The offender is described as a white make aged 35 to 40 years and about 5ft 8in tall. He had a medium build, mousy brown short hair and gingery brown stubble on his face. he was wearing a brown zipped jacket.
Sometime between 11.45am and 12.15pm an offenders stole a quantity of cash from the vestry of St Peters Church, The Square, Dunchurch.
If you have information relating to either of these incidents please contact Rugby police quoting incident number 252 of 5 October.
Please also remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons, vehicles or activity in your area and please report anything of concern to police. Thankyou.
