MESSAGE .................NHW RU Cat flap burglaries at homes in St Denis View and Rugby Road, Pailton INC 87 of 3 October
We would like to make you aware of the following incidents which occurred at homes in Pailton during last night 2 into 3 October.
An offender entered a home in Rugby Road, Pailton by reaching through a cat flap and opening the door with keys that were in the lock. The offender then searched all of the kitchen cupboards and stole items of jewellery before making off.
An offender also reached through a cat flap at a home in in St Denis View and again used keys that had been left in the door to enter the house. Once inside the offender stole a television, a laptop computer and a camera.
If you noticed any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity in either of these areas during the night that you believe may be connected to these incidents please contact Rugby police quoting incident number 87 of 3 October.
Please also ensure that you do not unwittingly help anyone trying to burgle your home by removing keys from all doors, whether or not you have a cat flap, overnight or when leaving your home unattended. Thankyou.
