MESSAGE .................PW RU Gold jewellery stolen in robbery at Hotel in Sheep Street, Rugby INC 275 of 5 November

We would like to make you aware aht at just before 2.30pm yesterday afternoon, 5 November two masked offenders burst into the function room of a hotel in Sheep Street, Rugby brandishing a shotgun.

A gold jewellery event was taking place in the function room and the offenders demanded the jewellery from a case. The offenders then made off with the jewellery along with a personal handbag.

The offenders then ran out into the street and were picked up in Lawrence Sheriff Street by a third person in a small blue van.

The offenders are described as young and small in stature, around 5ft 8in tall and are believed to be white males.

If you saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of Sheep Street, yesterday afternoon, that you beleive may be connected to this robbery please contact Rugby police quoting incident number 275 of 5 November.

Please also remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons, vehicles or activity on or around your own or neighbouring premises and please report anything of concern to police. Thankyou.
