MESSAGE .................NHW RU Burglaries at business in Brandon & at home in St Margarets Ave, Wolston INC 141 of 19 May
Rugby police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information relating to the following incidents which have occurred in your area over recent days.
Sometime between midnight on 13 May and 9.55am yesterday, 19 May, offenders entered a home in St Margarets Avenue, Wolston via an insecure window. Once inside they stole a TV, IPod and Wii games console before making off via the rear door.
Sometime before 3.20pm yesterday offenders gained entry to a secure up and over garage at a Business on Brandon Lane, Coventry. Nothing was stolen but damage was caused to the building and a vehicle stored inside it.
If you have information that you believe may be connected to either of these incidents please contact Rugby police quoting incident number 141 of 19 May.
Rugby police would also like to remind you that while we all like to enjoy the good weather, there are others who will look to take advantage of it in a way that is anything but enjoyable. If the weather is good people tend to leave windows and doors open and become very relaxed in their attitudes to security. Thieves are well aware of this and there has been an increase of burglaries where they have used open windows and doors to gain entry to houses. Please be extra vigilant and ensure that windows and doors are at least shut and preferably locked when you are not in that part of the house. Enjoy the good weather but lets not make it easy for those who look to take advantage. thankyou.
